Cars Plunge Into Bayou As Child narrowly escapes drowning
A four year old girl, Mary Jean Goff, escaped drowning when her parents' sedan and a nearby car rolled into Bayou DeSiard near Biedenharn dam. Goff’s grandfather G. L. Griffin dove in, pulled the child through a window, while W. J. Franklin's car also sank. Franklin left his gear in neutral, investigations say. Mary Jean and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Goff of West Monroe, were fishing on the left bank when the incident occurred.
