Durtschi gains $200 Farm Bureau scholarship to UW short course

Albany High School graduate Thomas Durtschi, 18, Route 1 Albany, wins a $200 Green County Farm Bureau Women scholarship for the Farm Short Course at the University of Wisconsin. He is the fourth Green County boy to receive the award. other recipients include Alvin Tschudy Robert Erb and Russell Block. Durtschi plans to continue farming and has a long history in 4H FFA and local dairy and conservation activities.

ASCS Committeemen Named for Green County Delegates

Three Green County ASCS committeemen were elected to serve the coming year. Delegates will vote Oct. 10 at the Agricultural Building to elect a new county committeeman for a three year term and two alternates.
