Flames Destroy Farm in Burnell Road York Township
A 93-foot modern barn with hay and six livestock was destroyed by fire at the Burnell Road farm in York Township. Firefighters from Blanchardville and Argyle fought the blaze starting 3 30 p.m. The Rood family reported loss of a bred heifer two bull calves two heifer calves and the herd bull weighing 2500 pounds. The fire also destroyed a four year old milkhouse and caused a local outage.
