A Monroe Park concert features the Park band on the north platform at 7 15 pm with 20 amateurs on the south platform starting 8 pm. Winners in four vocal, instrumental, instrumental vocal, and novelty groups will be announced at 7 45 pm and prizes awarded to finalists after the show. Performers and organizers from Monroe and nearby towns prepare a full evening of music and entertainment with a slate of Sousa and Karl King pieces.
