Four Stephenson county residents died in Labor Day weekend accidents. Kenneth Koertner, 21, from Pearl City died near Pearl City in a head on crash. Johelph Lamer a 54 year old mink rancher from four miles outside Tomahawk was killed Saturday night when his pickup collided with Milwaukee Road northbound Hiawatha train at Highway 91 crossing. He was en route with a load of chickens and reportedly failed to notice the train amid holiday traffic. He leaves a widow eight children a brother and three sisters.
