Children Parade in School Gym at Monroe Jaycees event

The Monroe Jaycees sponsored a Halloween Parade and Party in the school gym. Judges awarded cartoons at the event. Robert Collins served as chairman of arrangements. The program was praised as wonderful with many in attendance enjoying the festivities.

Three Monroe adult Girl Scout volunteers Mrs George R Barry Mrs Edward Zupane and Mrs Alvin Kubly were honored at the Badger Council Fall Recognition dinner in Janesville with framed certificates as friends of Scouting The awards were accepted by Burton Bacon Joseph Urban and Mrs Hervey Hoesly Selected speakers and long service records were cited plus a 35 year membership badge for Mrs Norris Rowbotham of Walworth Attendees numbered about 120 with the program featuring a panel discussion by Monroe Senior Scouts and city leaders

Operation Mail Call seeks APO FPO addresses for service personnel
