Monroe Sets Tentative 1953 Budget and Tax Rate

John F. Kryder Dies at 92 After Varied Life in Juda
John F. Kryder 92, longtime Juda banker and railroad section worker, died yesterday at his daughter’s home in Monticello. Born Feb. 8, 1860 near Juta Illinois, he helped found the Juda bank in 1902 and served as president and director for years. An avid railroad man, he balanced bank duties with part time work on Fred Dalbert’s railroad section, claiming he preferred a fire or the section job to banking. He was also a long-time volunteer firefighter and cherished practical work over ceremony.
