Brother and sister shot dead in Bergen home

Marathon County sheriff said Edwin Bonkowski 75 killed his sister Vernonia Bonkowski 73 then shot himself in their Bergen home. The bodies were found by a second sister. the pair had lived together all their lives. Bonkowski was to enter a veterans center and Vernonia a private nursing home.

Monroe High to present Carousel at school auditorium

Monroe High School chorus will perform Carousel at 8 p.m. November 5 and 6 in the Monroe Junior High School auditorium.
