Budget Hearing Set for Nov 13 in Green County Courthouse

Green County Board of Supervisors held its budget session. A public hearing on the 1970 budget is scheduled for Thursday Nov. 13 at 8 30 p.m. in the Green County Courthouse. The tax levy is proposed at 1 870 678 73, reduced by 200 000 from the general fund. Expenditures for 1970 total 4 374 250 60, up from 1969. Equalized valuation stands at 26 840 400, an increase of about 25 million from 1968. The board approved highway reconstruction on State Trunk Highway 81, affecting 22 miles in Green County and 3.3 miles in Rock County, with initial one lane.

Airport Runways Xed Off At Municipal Field
