Richard Lee Schmiedlin aged 22 died instantly when his southbound car left Highway 69 south of Monroe, rolled end over end into a field. Coroner ruled accidental death. he served in the Air Force from 1959 to 1963 and was stationed at Truax Field. Survived by parents, a brother Dennis and sister Linda. services set for Wednesday at Stuessy funeral home with burial in Prairie Cemetery Mount Ida Township.

Budget Sessions Start Tomorrow
The county begins its annual budget session at the Courthouse at 8 p.m. tomorrow with the county hospital building program likely to dominate the opening. Supervisors may vote early on approving or rejecting a $464 000 addition as they tackle other budget issues. Ray E. Kundert, county clerk, says the board will meet several nights this week and in November. The hospital plan would add 100 beds and therapy facilities and is proposed to be financed without extra tax money, using existing hospital funds and depreciation reserves over 15 years. Johnson notes crowding with beds tightly spaced and says the last major space addition was in 1920.

Andrew R. Tschudy 81 of Route 2 died at 9 this morning in St. Clare hospital after a three year illness. Born Feb 5 1882 in Clarno Township he was a descendant of early Swiss settlers of New Glarus and long active in local public and cheese producer groups. Surviving are a daughter, two sons, six brothers and two sisters. He served on the County Board and was a Knights of Pythias member.

Shotgun Accident Kills 12 Year Old Brother in Farmfield
County coroner reports 12 year old Robert Shehow was fatally shot when his 13 year old brother Leroy stumbled with a 20 gauge shotgun on their parents farm near Pound. Monroe high school junior Fredric Moritz has been chosen as a member and principal cornetist of the 1964 United States of America High School Band. The group assembles in New York City June 28 for eight days of rehearsals before a U S and Canada tour through July 19 with concerts at Rockefeller Center and the World’s Fair. Three Die in Kaukauna Brush Fire Truck Crash
In Outagamie County near Kaukauna three volunteer firefighters died in a crash while responding to a brush fire. Donald Fassbender age 25 and Jerome D. Van Abel age 47, both local residents, were killed. Van Abel’s 16 year old son Donald died later in hospital. The crash occurred when the second water tank truck struck the first as it stopped to turn into the burning field.
