Tragic Welsh slag avalanche kills and buries school

Boy in Critical Condition After PTO Accident on Farm
Robert P. Lofthus Jr. five, of Orfordville, is in extremely critical condition at University Hospitals Madison after being pulled into a tractor power take-off while near a farm elevator. He suffered head injuries and multiple fractures. moved from Mercy Hospital Janesville to Madison for treatment. The incident occurred while he chased a kitten near the unloading equipment. authorities believe the elevator tipped him toward the PTO as his father attempted to shut off the tractor. The child had been warned to stay away from the machinery.
