Planes for a large corn harvest on the Robert Preston farm and the Campbell farm were delayed to let the crop dry. Preston, who lost his left hand in a corn picker accident Wednesday, was aided by neighbors Willis Williams, Walter Williams, and Harry Buhlman. Floyd Burke, his employee, reported Preston's hand jammed in the machine and was taken to St. Clare hospital after the incident.
