A collision at Harrow on the Middlesex platform near London killed 81 and wounded 130 as three trains including two expresses and a commuter service slammed together at 8 19 a m. The disaster damaged the station bridge and debris struck the tobacco vendor Elsie Webber and the station clock.

Wisconsin Warns Tax-Free Cigarettes Liable to Levy
The Wisconsin State Beverage and Cigaret Tax Division warned that residents who buy tax-free cigarettes by mail must pay a state tax of 30 cents per carton within three days of receipt or face a 14 percent penalty. Juda Man Loses Hand in Machine
Robert L. Preston a 34 year old Juda area farmer was severed from his left hand above the wrist when he was caught in a corn picker on the Campbell farm southeast of Juda near Oakley.
