World Dairy Expo At Madison Showcases 300 Cattle From 9 States
More than 300 prize cattle from nine states competed in three International Dairy Breed Shows at the World Dairy Expo in Madison. Wisconsin swept state herd honors with Gil-Bar Farm, Aaron Kuske, and Daltondale Farm winning Jersey, Milking Shorthorn, and Ayrshire titles respectively. Awards included Ayrshire senior and grand champions and top females, Milking Shorthorn grand champions, and Jersey senior and grand champion bulls and females. The expo runs through Wednesday with the Central National Holstein shows and a premier Holstein sale, plus the Wanzer Memorial Trophy for America’s Supreme Champion. The Brodhead council adopted the zoning ordinance with planning commission changes including a new boundary line between township and city. A storage garages clause was omitted.
