Mrs Waltrip Dies After Birth in Clinton Hospital
Mrs Warren Waltrip 22 died at 2 10 am yesterday in Mercy hospital Clinton after delivering a daughter Karen Elaine who also died. Born Pearl City she was daughter of George and Clara Miner an assistant third grade teacher at Hanover school and later employed at Savanna Ordnance depot. She married Warren Waltrip April 19 1953 in Hanover. they lived in Blackhawk and Fulton. Survivors include husband parents two brothers and five sisters. Services tomorrow at George Morhardt residence and St Pauls Lutheran Hanover with burial in Evergreen cemetery. Arrangements were made by Nadig funeral home.

Washington pupils plan mass session on segregation issue
A mass meeting was set at Anacostia High in Washington to end protests over desegregation in the District of Columbia schools. Officials and student leaders hope to halt demonstrations, restore classes, and imitate Baltimore’s movement as 2,800 students were absent at schools.
