Chase of vehicle ends in death of Dale Koepp
Dale Robert Koepp aged 3 of Davis Wisconsin died from internal hemorrhages after running into a stopped car driven by Mrs Paul Neuenschwander in Brodhead. He showed no visible injuries at first but deteriorated three hours later. Coroners ruled accidental. He leaves parents Alfred and Minnie Koepp and three brothers and a sister. Services Sunday at Koepp home and St John’s Lutheran Pecatonica. Burial Greenwood Brodhead.

James R. Flannery 17 year old son of Mr and Mrs Frank Flannery of 1113 16th avenue underwent amputation of the left leg and has a broken right leg. Public relations officer at Fairfield Suisun Air Force Base reported today his condition is serious due to gangrene. Red Cross aid arranged locally has been extensive. He was wounded in Korea with the 24th division on Sept 27 and arrived at the California Air Force hospital Oct 3.

Born November 3, 1868 in Monroe township he married Stella Laubaugh February 13 1893 in Freeport Illinois. A former wholesale cheese dealer and cattle buyer he lived in West Wayne South Wayne Monroe and other towns before settling in Monroe nine years ago. He leaves a twin brother J Herbert Isely of Omaha a grandson Clinton Blackbourn and a granddaughter Barbara M Blackbourn plus two great grandchildren Anita Mae and Garry Lee Blackbourn. He was predeceased by his wife Stella May 7 1947 a daughter Neeta Marie Isely Blackbourn two sisters and two brothers. A South Wayne Masonic lodge member and Palestine chapter of Monroe he will be buried at Greenwood cemetery after services tomorrow at 2 pm at Shriner Neushwander funeral home with Rev Gerhard Gunderson officiating and grave service by the South Wayne Masonic lodge.
