Film To Feature The Lost World Series To Begin Here Wednesday

Residents of Green County will view Soul of Mexico a full color film by Romain Wilhelmsen at Monroe Junior High School auditorium Wednesday Oct 6 at 7 30 p m The film surveys the Sierra Madre region near the Mexican border and includes recovered armor authenticated by USC and the Museum of the Southwest The Monroe Rotary Club sponsors this six film series with tickets available from Rotary members Future programs feature Inner Space Ethiopia Canadian Rockies England and South Sea Islands presented by local speakers and tied to the club’s community program goals.

Man Rescued From Wet Clay In Madison

Aut mune Sylvester Dochnahl a 62 year old village employee is in fair condition at St Mary's Hospital Madison after being buried under tons of wet clay in a sewage ditch walls collapsed Fellow workers freed his face in about two minutes and it took another half hour to dig him free He suffered a broken collar bone broken ribs facial injuries and possible head injuries The incident occurred in the Nesheim housing area as diggers worked in a more than 10 foot deep trench when the walls gave way and the soil slid away

New Glarus Awaits Bloodmobile Visit

Green County Red Cross announces the final 1950 visit of the Red Cross Bloodmobile to New Glarus School on Monday from 3 30 to 6 30 p m. Eight pints B positive are urged for a Madison woman aged 37 and five pints A positive for a five year old Green Bay boy. The annual quota is 50 pints to cover major operations accidents and newborns. Jake Bruni and Fred E Meyer chair the drive and note the bloodmobile supplies about half the county stock.

Cline Earns Heroism Honor for Lake Rescue

Mineral Point Wisconsin Conservation Department aide David Cline was cited for heroism after rescuing an Illinois couple from a capsized boat off Yellowstone Lake during a May storm. Norway Prince To Visit Madison
