Mary Baranick, 10, narrowly survived a fishing trip tragedy off Mission Beach when a 15 foot runabout capsized. Calvin Bunker Jr. and Oscar Orio, 11, and 12, drowned. Norberto Orio, 12, clung to the boat but lost his brother. Four Benedictine nuns rescued her as Coast Guard and planes searched for the missing. Smokey the dog was recovered later.
