Court Affirms Two Vote West Bend Mayoral Outcome
The Wisconsin Supreme Court upheld Paul W. Henke’s mayoral victory in West Bend by two votes after a recount reduced the initial 5 vote margin to 3 and then to 2. Peru crash kills 97 on Varig 707 near Lima
A Varig Air Lines Boeing 707 with 97 aboard disappeared en route from Brazil to Los Angeles and was found wrecked about 75 miles south of Lima. Reddick Youth Hurt In One Car Accident
Gregory Reddick, 19, of 1210 10th Street, was injured in a single vehicle crash in the 2800 block of 13th Street at 2:50 AM. He suffered a scalp laceration cerebral concussion contusions abrasions and a possible fracture of the right shoulder. He arrived at St. Clare Hospital at 3:15 AM. Reddick, a former Albany resident, is the son of Mrs. Carl Goecks of Monroe.
