Watercolor Artist Finds Therapy in Paintings Displayed in Monroe Clinic
Janesville artist Al Bortles whose life was saved by Monroe medical care has twelve watercolors on exhibit at the Monroe Clinic. Self taught, he began painting during recovery from surgery in 1965 and now plans a dedicated gallery, while donating works to St. Clare Hospital and local causes.
