Youth To Face Murder Charge In Portage County
Portage County District Attorney Wendell Crosby said warrants charging two counts of first degree murder would be issued today against 18 year old Mark Leroux. The bodies of Mr and Mrs Eugene Leroux were found in their burned home four miles south of Amherst after a blaze on November 8. Leroux allegedly escaped with his sister Jeanette 16 after trying to rouse their parents. No charges were filed against other family members. Leroux was taken into custody Tuesday at a Stevens Point home where he had been living. The Leroux couple operated a telephone company repairman and waitress business respectively.
