A U S Weather Bureau balloon was recovered today by a deputy sheriff on the Walter Tryon farm two miles east of Monticello on Highway 39. Earlier a similar balloon was found on the Herman Pluss farm three miles west of Albany carrying a red canvas bag and instruments marked to notify the University of Minnesota physics department. The balloon was spotted by Round Grove skafternoon.

Bandit Shoots Self While Fleeing Club Milwaukee Heist
Police say 22 year old Robert Stockman admitted the $125 robbery at Club Milwaukeean and wounded Patrolman Raymond Bednarek.
