Bounties on Foxes Paid By County Clerk To Hunters Today

County Clerk Broege on Route 3 and 1015 25th Avenue lists payments for bounties on 39 foxes, including red and gray varieties, to 35 hunters. Names such as William Broege, Joe Hoesly, E Wuetrich, Juda, O J Hewkins, Melvin Morgan, Ken Glarus, Paul Glarus, Edward Ensch, Ralph, Matt Solbraa and others appear among the recipients and route designations.

Grenzow First to Buy Deer Hunting Tag in Green County

Ross Martin and his son Robert L. Martin became the first Monroe hunters to purchase deer hunting tags at the Green County Clerk’s office. By yesterday afternoon 89 tags were sold to county residents as trapping tags are also being sold. the trapping season begins Sunday while deer season starts November 23.

Kilgore Says Garsson Inquiry Is Closed

About 200 people attended the Juda Center 4-H club achievement program at the community building honoring four clubs and their members for 1946 accomplishments. D. E. Earmark for Wisconsin Veterans Loans Increases to 250000

The Wisconsin state board of veterans affairs authorized a new 250000 earmark for loans to veterans raising total rehabilitation funds to 1575962. Director Leo V Levenick reported 14018 applications and 9633 beneficiaries. In October 667 applications were filed. Permit $9 a ton Increase for Rag Content Papers

The OPA announced a $9 a ton increase for rag content papers effective next Wednesday. Rag content papers are used for fine writing and printing papers. The rise was in manufacturers ceiling prices but the OPA said higher costs can be passed on to consumers.
