City officials open budget talks led by council member Jeanine Steffen as they study a proposed increase of 200000 dollars. The session focuses on allocating funds across departments and potential impacts on services.
The Monroe City Council held the first reading of a proposed 1977 budget totaling 2,248,987, up 211,324 from 1976.
