Apollo 10 crew Thomas P. Strafford and John W. Young with Eugene A. Cernan log nine hours of sleep as they approach a Wednesday rendezvous with the moon, Earth receding about 200000 miles. They eliminated a final course correction.
Mary Classen led Monroe High School sophomores to donate toward a Wisconsin Badger Camp development. The fundraiser aimed to buy an acre of land for the camp and included a challenging pledge to contribute nickels and dimes instead of candy. The class collected funds amid a hopeful, playful mood.

Pfc. Kris Blumer, 19, Albany high school graduate and former Albany Super Market employee, was wounded May 15 in a mine explosion in Vietnam. He suffers thorax abdomen and leg injuries and is hospitalized in Vietnam with non serious injuries reported. His brother Karl Blumer is also in service.
Miss Bobbie Thoreson, Miss Alice in Dairyland, will be a guest at the Monroe Kiwanis Club Interclub meeting Thursday noon at the VFW Club. She attends with four Madison West Club members who will be present and will present the program. Gilbert Oelke furnishes the attendance prize. Invocation by Robert Rosa.
