Feedmill Landmark Destroyed by Flames in Whitewater

A 70 year old feed mill in Whitewater owned by Anderson Milling Co was destroyed by fire early today. The two and a half story wooden building suffered as fire chief Joe McCormick estimated losses at 50000 dollars with cause undetermined.

Roseleip pushes state police training center bill

State Sen. Gordon Roseleip co authors a bill to create a police training center in the Division of Motor Vehicles with local law enforcement on governing boards and policy making. The center would be directed by the Attorney General educators a judge a district attorney and a citizen member. Kiwanis Hears Allen and FFA Members

Chicago teachers vote on first city strike

Wegmueller Seeks Alice in Dairyland Title at Platteville

Barb Wegmueller from Monroe competes in District One for the Alice in Dairyland crown at 8 p.m. Saturday at Peace Lutheran Church Platteville.
