Mrs Buhlmann Succumbs Here After Illness
Mrs. Alfred Buhlmann 51 of 1111 W Lincoln Blvd Freeport died at 9 45 pm yesterday at St Clare hospital after three months of illness. Born Lillian Morel in Canton Bern April 20 1901 she came to America in 1922 and married Alfred Buhlmann Feb 23 at St John’s church. She leaves husband five children and seven grandchildren with two brothers and one sister in Switzerland. Funeral at Shriner Neushwander on Friday at 2 pm with burial in Star Greenwood. Eastern Star member attended St John’s church.

Prison Mutiny Leader Rejected by Hospital
Earl Ward, co leader of last month's riot at Southern Michigan prison, arrived for temporary confinement at Oakland County jail after a rampage. State officials balked at transferring him to the State Hospital for the Criminal Insane. Hospital officials refused Ward admission and prison authorities warned he may spark another riot.

Green County's national guard unit Co. K and medical platoon report at the Mon Toc armory at 4 p m Saturday for a weekend drill. They will bivouac at the fairgrounds with compass and platoon problems Sunday. This first in a series of three extra drills ordered by the war department follows last year’s maneuvers at Camp Ripley Minn. Capt Theodore J Burgy said last evening’s drill focused on weekend preparations.

The Green Masonic Chorus from Monroe Wisconsin will perform on WGN's Songs We Sing Friday from 8 to 8 30 p m Wisconsin time. Mark Flint 95 Argyle Resident Dies at St Clare Hospital
Mark Flint aged 95 of Argyle died at St. Clare hospital at 6 40 p m after a long illness. He was bedfast seven years cared for by his two daughters Mrs Elmer Olson and Mrs George Olson. Born Oct 10 1856 in Argyle LaFayette County he lived on a farm near Argyle until his 1883 marriage to Angelena Rundle. He and his wife retired to the village in 1903 and he worked as a teamster thereafter. He was a member of the Argyle Methodist church and leaves two grandchildren and four great grandchildren besides his two daughters. His wife died in 1943. He was the last of a nine child family. Services Friday at 2 p m Erickson funeral home Argyle with Rev George H Crow officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn cemetery.
