Milk prices to dip in Q2 1966 despite higher overall receipts
The Agriculture Department reports producer milk prices in the second quarter are expected to be lower than in the first quarter, while gross receipts from milk sales this year may rise 6 to 7 percent over 1965's $5.1 billion record. Production is seen about 2 percent below last year with heavy cow culling shrinking output, dairymen’s prices averaging 8 to 9 percent above last year's $4.24 per hundredweight, and little surplus expected as demand balances with supply.

longtime New Glarus resident Rosina Voegeli Ott died at 97 in the New Glarus Home for the Aged. She was born March 11 1869 and married Peter Ott in 1888 after a triple ceremony. Funeral services will be held at the Swiss United Church of Christ with burial in the Swiss Church Cemetery.
