Pupils View Soils Practices Culmination Days
The Conservation Culmination Days mark the end of the 1962 course on water and soil conservation in rural state graded and village schools. Mrs. Fannie Schober 84 died at 12 20 a m in the Monroe home of her daughter Mrs Louis Blanc 911 8th avenue where she had lived since her husband Rudolph died Feb 3 1942. She left two daughters Clara Thompson and Blanc of Monroe two grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Services Saturday at 130 p m in Shriner Neu s hwan der funeral home with Rev Paul H Olm officiating. Burial will be in the local cemetery.

32nd Units Move To Battle Range At Yakima
Advance parties of Wisconsin's 22nd Division move to the Yakima firing center for Mesa Drive May 7 to 21. The 32nd will conduct its first near full strength simulated battle with the 4th Division acting as aggressors. Air force units join the maneuver at the semi arid Yakima site about 180 miles east of Fort Lewis.

Key Club to Award Scholarship for Senior Male Student
The Monroe Key Club announces a scholarship of at least 100 dollars for any senior boy in the upper half of his class planning to attend an accredited trade school college or university. A panel of officials will judge applications and designate the recipient. Funds come from dues and Dollar for a Scholar activities including a car wash, basketball tournament sales and a slave sale. The club aims to make this an annual award and hopes to increase the amount to help more students pursue education.

Glenn Greets Soviet's Titov in Washington Visit
Astronaut John H. Glenn Jr. and cosmonaut Gherman S. Titov met for the first time at the National Academy of Sciences in Washington. They exchanged greetings and toured the city, sharing philosophy and light jokes. Titov said in Russian he was very pleased to meet Glenn.

UW Student Fined In Killing of Kitten
James C. Martin a 19 year old University of Wisconsin sophomore from Mazomanie was fined 55 dollars after pleading guilty to cruelty to animals. The kitten died in the arms of seven year old Steven Klein. County Judge William C. Buenzli imposed the fine following Mrs. Fred Klein signing the complaint.

USDA Eases Up On Corn Selling
