Kids' slowpitch league names Reger as pre season favorite

The Reger Medicare team is picked as the pre season favorite to win the newly created Senior Slowpitch League at a managers meeting. Coach Phil Counselman agrees citing hitting and fielding in clutch moments, while noting concern over veteran first baseman Paul Miller maintaining a .125 batting average from last season. The league plans for four to six teams this year, with Coplien Insurance and Realty Milwaukee Cheese and Martin's Sport Shop as others. The Reger roster mirrors last year’s Minor Division lineup and includes Championship players from Bob & Wig's who won the Minor No. 3 Bowling League title Monday night at Eagles Club Lanes.
