Mrs Livona Pierce Schultz 76 longtime Green County resident died at 12 01 a m in St Clare hospital after heart attack on Oct 26. Born 1887 in Monticello she married Jake Schultz in 1906 and they farmed at Mt Pleasant before moving to Monticello in 1955. Survived by husband son Raymond L Fort Wayne two brothers and three sisters plus three grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Funeral arrangements pending at Voegeli funeral home.

County plans citizen group to develop Green County economy

Bike Licensing To Be Saturday
Weather permitting a second bicycle registration will be held Saturday in the Spring Square parking lot south of the police station. Registration runs 8 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Officials noted about 400 bikes remain unregistered after 872 were licensed at the previous safety check near Lincoln school. Bikes will be inspected and equipment must be in place before licenses are issued.

NFO Leader Outlines Farm Problems and Milk Pact Terms
Ray Johnson of Rock County the state NFO president spoke at a second public informational meeting at the county agricultural building. He challenged UW economist Truman Graf’s claim that nonmembers would profit at NFO members’ expense under any milk production plan. Johnson said contracts require two thirds ratification and that NFO milk is prioritized with surplus outside the group, with no surplus issue for members unless production rises 20 percent above commitments.

Big Error Found In Tax Aid Draft
A $5 million drafting error in the tax relief for the aged measure reviewed by Wisconsin lawmakers could raise program costs from 10.3 million to 15.3 million annually. The misprint sets eligibility high at 6,000 instead of 3,000 dollars, expanding coverage and delaying effect until 1965. State Tax Commissioner George Corning noted more mistakes possible as the bill nears recess and must be corrected when the Legislature reconvenes on November 9.

Crashes Kill Two More on Wisconsin Highways
The state toll rose to 299 with two fatalities in separate crashes. Fred C. Guell, 83, of Fond du Lac, died after a collision on Highway 23 east of Fond du Lac. William K.
