Monroe officials met with State Highway Commission representatives at 10 a.m. in Madison to review the planned 20 year route map and to discuss the first scheduled change. Wildlife Education Program Begins in Green County Schools
Wildlife will be a focal point as the 1965 Green County Conservation program starts classroom sessions this week at eight county schools from March 24 through March 29. County Superintendent Rudolph Haskee says each two hour session covers birds fish and animals and their habitats with an emphasis on interrelation and wildlife protection. A mother and daughter died in a two car crash on Highway 18 151 near Verona Dane County. Mrs Julius Ruter 73 of Madison and Mrs Hazel Prenot 50 of Chicago were killed. Ruter was driving the other vehicle and was among five injured with four in serious condition.
