Green County NFO Delegation Seeks Hearing On Milk Hold

Green County NFO members plan to visit Madison to seek a hearing with Attorney General Bronson La Follette over the milk holding dispute. A turnout at Turner Hall discussed possible actions including visiting supermarkets to buy milk in bulk as a demonstration. A deputy sheriff contact was arranged as milk theft investigations continue.

City Council Tonight Answers on Hoist Bid and Rezoning

The Board of Public Works approved a 2740 bid by Solomon Auto Parts for a hoist and installation at the City Garage. Tonight the council will consider the bid with related items, hear a rezoning request by Russell Kundert, and review planning commission actions from March 16. The meeting starts at 7 30 p.m. in the Council Chambers.

Swiss Colony promotes Schwager and Power to vice presidents

The Swiss Colony announces two new vice presidents effective March 1. Kurt J. Schwager becomes vice president in charge of advertising and Perry J. Power is named vice president in charge of production. Schwager has 18 years with the company and previously led advertising and merchandising. Power, born in 1922 in Chicago, will oversee production. The notice includes biographical details and personal background for both executives.
