Burdette Eldred 84 longtime Beloit banker and former president of the Second National Bank died yesterday in a hospital. He served 69 years in banking with interruptions for illness and was active in state banking fraternal and political circles. Ralph E. Aurand, 26, a Rockford gasoline station attendant and father of five, was found dead about 2:45 a.m. after a holdup. Robe rt R. Riggs, a sailor on leave from the Great Lakes naval center, discovered the body after stopping for gas. A taxicab driver said he bought gas from the station 20 minutes earlier, and receipts showed $40 missing.
