Two former prisoners and a Milwaukee woman were arrested on federal warrants after a failed hold up at Nichols State Bank in Outagamie County. The gunman fled when Darrel Hahn barred entry behind bulletproof glass. a flat tire led to the capture. Names include Earl W. Wing Leonard R. Man Arraigned On Theft Charge
Anthony J. Harris of Chicago was held on a 200 bond after arraignment in Justice Court for larceny of 72 dollars from Buehler's Service Station. Harris was captured in Stephenson County after a wild chase through Freeport dodging bullets. Detainers from several counties and Chicago are expected. He is suspected of taking 700 dollars from another station in Elkhorn 200 from Woodstock and 150 from Cedarville. He returned 72 dollars to the proprietors under DA Brand's stipulation of no guilt admission. Harris was identified as the man who left the station before the cash drawer was found short.
