Dr Glenn Swenk Soseman city clerk for seven years and a former dentist and auto industry executive died at 9 20 p m in St Clare Hospital after a prolonged illness from influenza complications He had returned home from hospital on May 16 and hoped to resume duties by July 1 His service included eight years as a license committee chair and local public life since early career in Monroe marked by postwar expansion projects He was born March 29 1881 in South Bend Ind and moved to Monroe at age two He practiced dentistry for 25 years and later worked in Marmon Reo and Hudson motor car firms before joining city government He leaves a wife Ruth Woodle a daughter Mary Suzanne and grandchildren John Nancy and Mary Ann Burgy

Electa Kelly 94 a Cadiz township pioneer descendant died at 2 30 p m yesterday at the farm home of her daughter Mrs Maud Snyder three miles southeast of Browntown after a month of illness from old age complications She born Oct 7 1857 east of Browntown attended a log schoolhouse and later married Charles A Kelly They lived on multiple farms before settling on the Kelly homestead and later the Tom Tomlinson and James Divan farms Mr Kelly later ran a drug store and mercantile business completed by farming He died Jan 15 1947 Mrs Kelly resided with her daughter the last nine years She leaves two daughters a half brother two half sisters a grandchild and seven great grandchildren Services will be held at 3 tomorrow afternoon at Shriner Neushwander funeral home with interment in Cadiz cemetery.

A large meteor or two similar objects were seen over Green County and Madison Saturday night around 11. Reports described a greenish white sphere with little tail and a red green tail in Albany, plus purple blue color at Madison and fast movement toward the north.
