Mrs Bushnell 83 Dies After Lingering Illness

Mrs. Edgar W. Bushnell 83 of 306 18th avenue died at 10 45 a m at St Clare hospital after a lingering illness. Born Lucy Morgan in Monroe township on Sept 28 1868 she lived in Croix County 25 years and married A O Deans in 1890. She later wed Edgar W Bushnell in Hammond Wis in 1896 and moved to Monroe in 1943. Active in Union Presbyterian women and landwork she exhibited at Green County fair for years. Survived by husband three daughters a son a brother nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Services at Shriner Neushwander funeral home 1 30 p m Tuesday with burial in Greenwood cemetery.

City To Change Billing System

The city will switch to a combined bill for garbage and rubbish collection sewer assessment and a separate water assessment starting July 1 for the second quarter. The city clerk will bill residents for garbage and rubbish and sewer. the water department will issue its own notices. All payments remain at the city treasurer's office in the Eugene hotel building. The Water Board suggested separating its office staff and procedures from other departments.

John Young, 37, was fatally struck when a bulldozer backed over him at the city dump in Milwaukee. Supervisor Frank LaGosh said he warned Young to stay clear of the machine shortly before the accident occurred.
