Verona gravel pit drowning shocks Cross Plains man
Dane County authorities say 26 year old Donald Schonnenberg of Cross Plains drowned at a Verona gravel pit slated to open as a public swimming area. A companion said he jumped from a diving board and did not resurface. the body was recovered from 12 feet of water.
