Green County deputies reviewed several accidents this morning all tied to driver fatigue and a tire blowout. Incidents included an 18 year old in New Glarus treated after her car veered off Pioneer Road striking a whey tank, a 20 year old driver east on Pioneer Road falling asleep, and a 12 ton feed truck from Allied Mills leaving the road after a tire blew near Monroe. Additional incidents involved a Browntown sideswipe, a parked-car hit in Monroe, and a stock-rack gate tearing a mirror from a Madison car on 9th Street. No injuries reported beyond the first crash. investigations ongoing.

William Greub, 67, a Monroe automotive businessman, died June 23 at St. Clare Hospital from a heart condition after years in the trade. He founded Badger Motors in 1926, became Buick dealer in 1934, and later expanded with garages and used car lots. He served in local auto associations, the fire department, and WW II service duties.
