Erickson Cottage Destroyed by Fire

Mr and Mrs R E Erickson escaped injury when a kerosene heater exploded causing a blaze that destroyed their Rock River cottage two miles southeast of Edgerton. The fire happened near noon as guests and relatives were away fishing. firefighters arrived too late to save the structure. Partial insurance covered the loss of a year round residence used for summer gatherings.

Four Hospitalized In Auto Accident Near South Wayne

Kidnapper Slain After 1500 Mile Two Boy Ordeal

In Ohio a kidnapper, Joe Pacific of Canonsburg Pennsylvania, is killed by police after abducting Nick Cursi and Joseph Zolmerchik and imprisoning them in a car trunk during a two day, 1500 mile ride.
