Brodhead Eyes Sale of Property for City Improvements
The Brodhead City Council considered selling 106.39 acres in the north part of town with proceeds to fund area improvements including a proposed sewage lift station. Mayor Ray Timm urged using proceeds for improvements and possible annexation and zoning for residential use. The council planned to consult the city engineer on lift station costs and meet June 20 with Goldenrod Creamery Co. on city property leasing for expansion. Garbage collection remains on Wednesdays and Saturdays from June 17 onward.

Juda School Restructuring to Form Joint District No 2
A notice by Roland Keen announces Juda Schools will become one Common School District from July 1 1967 under Agency No 15. The existing high school board will oversee until July 24 when a new seven member board is elected. Two Vehicle Crash Injures James Williams in Route 1 Mishap
Sheriff deputies report James Williams of Route 1 Brodhead suffered scalp abrasions in a two vehicle crash on Highway 1181 just after 11 last night. Jacqueline Pinnow of Juda and Laverne Barrett of Lake Mills drove the other vehicles. Both cars sustained minor damage. A second incident near Juta left Barbara Arnsmeier of Babbitt Nev with her car in heavy damage but no injuries.
