LULORADG SPRINGS Colo Eight sets of twins ended their sixth grade day at the same school Bue Vista. The eight pairs have attended since kindergarten and seven of them will move to the same junior high next fall. School policy split twins so each set never shared a classroom. Medicare premium notices go to over 2 million elderly enrolled in the voluntary doctor bill insurance to supplement basic hospital coverage. About 15 million others will have premiums deducted from Social Security, railroad retirement, or civil service checks starting in July. States will cover some premiums for old age assistance recipients under SSA agreements. Notices request quarterly payments of 9 dollars for July through September, split between the program and general federal revenues. A return envelope is included for payment to Social Security.

Barn Blaze Strikes Ted Mellenberger Farm Route 1
Firemen were called to a South Wayne barn fire at 6:45 am on the Ted Mellenberger farm Route 1. The blaze was burning at press time with damage not yet determined. Tropical storm Alma weakened from hurricane status and moved up the Carolina coast causing gale winds and heavy rain with 47 deaths attributed.

Sinatra's Fiasco Under Police Investigation in Beverly Hills
Police say the investigation is far from over after Frank Sinatra was punched in the Beverly Hills Polo Lounge leaving his eye discolored while Frederick R. Weisman suffered a serious head injury requiring hours of brain surgery. Dean Martin supported Weisman while witnesses quoted Sinatra saying he did not strike back. Weisman remains unconscious in Mt. Sinai Hospital as investigators seek to determine if the assault was intentional or an accidental fall.

Watson Youth Fatally Shot Near Apple River Canyon Park
Dennis Dale Watson, 17, of Warren, Illinois, died after a revolver discharge while fishing with friends near Apple River Canyon State Park. He was transported to Freeport Memorial Hospital but succumbed to injuries. Two or three youths were present. rescue workers walked a mile to retrieve him. Funeral services will be held Monday at Bartell Funeral Home in Warren with burial at Elmwood Cemetery.

Gonstead Named Chiropractor of the Year in Wisconsin

Verona Man Killed in Mishap
A Verona man, Norman Murland 45, was killed when struck by a car on the main street of Mt. Vernon. The fatality contributed to Wisconsin 1966 traffic toll reaching 366. Nearby, 71 year old Joseph Niemer of Plainfield died after a collision on Highway 51 near Bancroft while Allen Pace aged 6 of Lancaster died in a car truck crash five miles southwest of Lancaster.
