John H. Lameyer 57 died in a Freeport hospital Friday night. Born May 6, 1902 in Holland, he was survived by his wife Mary Helen Peters married July 2, 1932 at Forreston, two daughters Pearl City and Warren, two sons John and Paul, three brothers Harm George Henry, and five sisters. Services were held at Bartell Funeral Home Warren with burial in Ridott Christian Reformed cemetery.

Monticello grade school ended for the term with a noon picnic for the first six grades. David M Woods of 1625 19th Street, a conservation aide with the SCS, had an emergency appendectomy Saturday at St Clare hospital and is in favorable condition. Samuel Blum of Route 2 Belleville was fined $25 or 10 days in jail for drinking in a moving car in Madison Superior Court, following a prior $50 fine.
