Samuel Roelli Dies in Lafayette County Crash
Samuel A. Roelli 38 of Winslow route died when his car collided with a truck three miles east of here on Highway 11. Merle Comprood 53 of Gratiot drove the truck. he and Roelli’s son Wayne 15 suffered minor injuries. Roelli was a farmer cheese maker born November 17 1927 and a Navy veteran with wife Naida and one daughter.

Water usage runs high with over two million gallons daily in July. a water tower equivalent to the North tower is filled four times daily. No water restrictions are in place. Garden crops and lawns remain robust, possibly aided by nighttime fog. Wisconsin Power and Light notes likely high electricity use with outages reported in several large cities due to air conditioning demand.
