Milwaukee Circus Spectacle Tops Old Milwaukee Days Parade

Great Circus Parade TV Special From Milwaukee
The Great Circus Parade from Milwaukee will be televised at 5 p.m. on July 4 over WMVS PBS and Channel 21. Nixon to Speak on Watergate After Senate Panel Phase
The White House says President Nixon will address Watergate in an appropriate forum after the Senate Watergate committee finishes its current phase of investigations. Press Secretary Ronald Ziegler announced the plan from Nixon’s San Clemente residence. In Washington the committee’s chief counsel said hearings will be held weekly.

Elmer Joins Local Police Force
Elmer Steven R. Elmer 21 son of Green County Judge and Mrs. Roger L. Elmer has joined the local police force as of July 1. Chief Dwight Coplien announced the admission which restores full department strength after Sgt. Ervin L. Goecks retired May 31. Elmer, selected from an eligibility list, will complete orientation and begin a 400 hour Basic Law Enforcement Course at Beloit’s VTAE District No. 5. He is a 1969 Monroe High School graduate with a UW Madison philosophy degree and amateur photographer.
