Green County Mutual Marks Century of Service Anniversary
Green County Mutual Insurance Co of Monroe celebrates 100 years, joining 12 other Wisconsin town mutuals. Founded as Jefferson Town Mutual in 1873 at Twin Grove School, it grew from 53 policyholders with $51,128 coverage to assets around $350,179, with expanded coverages and a board elected by policyholders. Current directors include Lawrence L. Raymer as president and Elizabeth K. White as head, with the annual meeting held January 18 at First National Bank.
