Argyle High School Band Concert Plans for Sunday

Argyle High School's Senior Band will perform at 2 30 p m Sunday Jan 23 featuring Bach Orlando Palandrino Overature Haydn and Inv Ito Ivkov compositions. Soloists include Bob Arnot Karen McGinnity Janet Williams with ensembles of clarinet trombone trumpet and percussion sections and a color guard finale.

Teen Confesses Slaying Parents After Wisconsin Crash

A 15 year old boy from Slippery Rock Pennsylvania confessed to authorities that he killed his parents Henry Sanderson and Dorothy Sanderson. The bodies were found near the family’s burned farmhouse in Butler County. He is being held as authorities plan to fly in formal charges from Pennsylvania.

Mrs Hefty 85 Madison Resident Dies at Hospital

Anna Hefty died in Madison General Hospital after a five year heart condition. Born Anna Elmer in Elm Switzerland she married Nicholas Hefty in 1899. The couple moved to America in 1909 farming near New Glarus. Survived by sons Roy Monroe Gust Horeb two daughters Russell Stuessy Carl Schliffe 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Scout Leaders Set Round Table In Valley District

A Valley District round table for Boy Scout leaders will convene this evening at 8 in the educational rooms of St John s United Church of Christ. Forrest Faulkes heads the Boy Scout division and Robert Williams the Cubbing division with Williams as program chairman. Members of South School Cub Pack 114 led by cub master Nick Leutenegger present the Cub Scouting program. Valley District covers Scouts of northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin.

Black and White Show Set for July 9 at Green County Fairgrounds

The Tri County Black and White Show scheduled for July 9 1966 will be at Green County Fairgrounds. Co chairmen Herb and Don Timm Huffman and Timm Ken and Nathan Hart wig Carl and Ken Wyss John Ruff Jim Huffman and Calvin Kraemer met Dane and Rock county Holstein reps in Evansville to plan. The event rotates among Green Rock and Dane counties. Judge Ray Brubaker from Elkhart Lake Wis will preside. Last year the show drew about four hundred entries.

Five Confirmed For Commission By City Council

The Monroe City Council authorized and confirmed five commissioners for a new housing authority to plan a home for the aged under federal financing. The appointees are Aldermen Burgy, Tschudy, Walsh, Hamilton, and Ambler with terms from one to five years. Hamilton named first chairman. future heads chosen by the commission.
