Dane County sheriff's deputies investigate a Belleville High School break-in that damaged about 60 and stole 20 dollars in lunch money. Principal C. H. Hageman said entry occurred between 6 p.m. Sunday and 6 a.m. Monday through a basement door in the new addition. He described the act as by an amateur and no suspects were identified.

Son of Monroe Couple Awarded Air Medal for B 52 Missions
First Lt. William H. Robichaux, son of Mr and Mrs Roy P Robichaux of 1913 11th St Monroe, received the Air Medal at Carswell AFB Texas for sustained outstanding airmanship as navigator bombardier on conventional bombing runs against Viet Cong targets. He flew with Strategic Air Command's 7th Bomb Wing on B 52s from Guam during temporary duty last year. He is a 1961 OTS graduate of Lackland AFB. His wife Margaret is of Dallas.

Wisconsin Civil War Mobile Museum Comes to Monroe
The Wisconsin State Historical Society mobile museum themed Wisconsin in the Civil War arrives in Monroe tomorrow for a multi day stop at Monroe Junior High School. Curators Luie and Mrs Haller from Portage live in the Historymobile during the nine month tour and will lead tours for different student groups then open to the public on Saturday. The unit will move to Darlington and Platteville in the following days with tours for elementary to adults and special sessions at local schools.

The Post Office will raise fees for money orders insurance registry and certified mail and C O D services effective March 26. Money orders rise five cents per bracket and most insurance rates gain ten cents with a 20 cent minimum for items valued at 15 dollars or less. Registry fees merge to 75 cents up to 100 dollars. C O D rates merge to 60 cents up to 10 dollars. certified mail jumps to 30 cents per item.

Unemployed to Collect Checks at New Monroe Site
The Industrial Commission will halt use of the old Monroe Community Center for unemployment benefit checks. Starting Wednesday 50 locals will sign up at the Green County Agricultural Building northeast edge of town from 10 a.m. to noon using the northeast door. The switch follows a decision that the Community Center facilities are no longer suitable. Janesville was briefly considered as an alternative. The Community Center will be vacated as activities move to the municipal building basement, with the old structure removed for a parking ramp due by March 1. County Board vice chairman Myron I. Stair approved the Agriculture Building use and will raise the issue at tonight’s meeting.
