Man Injured In Car Fire Near Hospital
Melvin Neely of Browntown suffered minor injuries when his parked car in the hospital lot caught fire while he slept inside. The fire caused heavy damage to the vehicle and was extinguished by Monroe volunteers after lighting interior flames. Neely, visiting a wife patient at St. Clare Hospital, received flash burns to the ears and a finger injury.

Two Auto Collide Injuring Four in Monticello Area
At 1 13 a m Thursday two autos collided head on one mile south of Monticello on Cemetery Road causing heavy damage and two minor injuries. Andrew C Hoesly 83 of New Glarus lost control on a slippery pavement crossed the center line and struck William R Gibbons 54 of Monticello. Alvina Hoesly a passenger in the Hoesly vehicle and Mary Gibbons a passenger in the Gibbons auto complained of knee bruises.
