Star of India Found in Miami Recovery Ends Long Gem Heist

New York detectives returned the Star of India and a cat burglar to New York from a Miami bus depot locker two days after secret talks and late night meetings. Allan Dale Kuhn, linked to a trio of robbers, swapped gems stolen October 30 from the American Museum of Natural History in exchange for lighter sentences. The Star of India and a 400000 dollar ruby were valued for records though the gems were priceless to authorities. DeLong ruby not recovered.

Miss Ruth M. Bolliger 52 of 703% 18th Avenue was found dead at 9 a.m. after an apparent night heart attack. Coroner said she likely died about 12:30 a.m. and was found by her landlord Ernest Brunkow who heard no movement this morning. A Monroe native born June 7, 1912, she never married and worked at the Gas Tax Refund Division in Madison before returning to Monroe.
